The domed threading iron is a tool widely used in leather goods to create a domed thread. Its use allows to obtain a relief effect. It is commonly used to embellish the edges of leather goods in the style of large leather goods houses such as belts, purses, handbags, etc.
It is particularly recommended for bringing out more pronounced threads by breaking the grain of semi-grained or grained leathers.
With its raised throat in the high-end leather goods model, the hot threading iron of the FN°M family allows you to obtain a more pronounced curved thread than the threading iron of the F family.
It is made up of two nets: the guide net and the tracing net.
Longer than the thread guide, the guide thread fits onto the edge of the leather and guides the thread guide during threading.
If the thickness of the thread to be traced is 0.5 mm (cold test), the width of the thread depends on the threaded article.
