Avec son format XXL et ses deux côtés arrondis, la palette chauffante inox est idéale pour préparer la tranche du cuir avant d’appliquer la coloration de pièces de cuir épais.
La palette s’utilise toujours de façon inclinée par rapport à la tranche et jamais à plat afin de bien brûler tous les fibres du cuir.
Parfois aussi appelé « galet », il permet d’enlever les filaments et les résidus de colle à très haute température ( repères de chauffe à 7 ou 8 ). Ce travail de préparation est primordial pour obtenir une tranche la plus lisse possible sur des cuirs épais.
Le fer de lissage s’utiise sur une poignée bois ou liège de diamètre 29 mm qui vous apporte confort et maniabilité. Pour cette opération de préparation de la tranche, utilisez l’outil légèrement tiédi avant toute coloration.
